In nicer news, I've begun looking at my options for laptops. I like the look of a 14" Apple iBook, though I'd have to buy a separate mini-PCI wireless card to use wireless in Linux. I had considered an Acer TM4150, but their distinct lack of care for web standards has put me off. Mark suggested a Toshiba, partly because they're more likely to refund the bundled Windows licence, though they don't display prices for many of their products. The search continues.

I've also been spending some time looking for reasonably-licenced music. A couple of recent finds are ccMixter and the Internet Archive's Open Source Audio collection. Many thanks to all the artists who make their works available under reasonable terms.
